Great Lakes Brewing Company Event

America Eats Tavern is excited to bring you another special beer event, with Great Lakes Brewing Company joining us for our Thomas Downing Oyster and Cocktail Hour.        

On Friday, May 18th starting at 4 PM, we'll be having $5 Great Lakes beer specials all night at the bar featuring Holy Moses, Lake Erie Monster, Elliot Ness and Burning River Pale Ale.  

Special guest Lauren Boveington from Great Lakes Brewing Company will be joining us from 4-7 PM.  Come dressed in your favorite speakeasy attire and Great Lakes will give the best dressed a special prize!  There will also be other prizes throughout the event.  Don't miss this chance to try some delicious craft brews and chat with a Great Lakes insider!  

We are proud to welcome Great Lakes Brewing Company from Cleveland, OH. Started in 1988, Great Lakes was the first microbrewery in Ohio, and their committment to sustainable business practices and using only the freshest ingredients made them a popular destination with the locals.  Over the years, they have created unique craft brews by using the same principles and raw materials as European brewers: malted barley (instead of corn and rice), fresh ingredients, and to preserve the full flavor, no preservatives, synthetic chemicals or pasteurization.  Today, they produce over 100,00 barrels
annually and are hailed as Ohio's most celebrated and award-winning brewer of lagers and ales.

Look out for more special guests to come.  Thomas Downing Oyster and Cocktail Hour is every Monday - Friday 4-6 PM and picks up again from 9 PM - close.

America Eats Tavern Cocktail Classes

Discover your inner bartender and learn how to mix cocktails like the pros! Starting on Saturday, February 4th, America Eats Tavern will feature a monthly cocktail class where you’ll sample our food and drink while learning how to make tasty cocktails with our Lead Bartender, Owen Thomson.

Tickets are $50 per person and include three cocktails and a few signature menu items. Purchase a three class package for $125 or a five class package for $200 per person. Class space is limited so email Brian Zaslavsky at Brianz@americaeatstavern.com to reserve your spot.

In the early 1800s, Thomas Downing owned one of the most famous oyster houses in New York City, serving the city's affluent everything from raw oysters on the half shell to oyster pie. Join us for Thomas Downing oyster and cocktail hour featuring:

$1 oysters on the half shell
$6 house red and white wine
$4 draft beers
Special selection of sparkling wine and house punch

Monday - Friday, 4-6 PM and 9 PM-close.
